Easy for you to say it’ll be ok.
You should know that fate is not one to obey.
I felt I had the world,
And in a second, a wave washed it away in a whirl.

Like the rise and fall of a breath,
It is full, then it is empty.
All that seems certain is the stillness of silence,
And the presence of my soul to my soul.

I wish I could say the same
about the weight of your touch, the warmth of your breath, the beat of your heart.
But alas, that’s all too good to last forever.
And they will keep saying it will be ok.

Ok it might be some day. And ok is all it can be.
But I shall never remain the same. Ever.
